Dutch Power is an ode to the Power Plant, a popular, strong and stress free South African plant that blooms easily, remains relatively small and yet ensures a reliable and high yield. Besides the many cannabis strains derived from Asian and American strains, the Power Plant is unique with its pure South African roots. Power Plant entered the market in 1997 and became a best-seller immediately after its introduction in Dutch coffee shops.

My somewhat older ex-colleagues from the coffee shop witnessed this to their own amazement, and still frequently discuss it, even in my time. Many hybrids were made with it over the years, but there is only one original. I named it Dutch Power. Dutch Power mainly consists of Sativa (80%), but with strong Indica tones.
Dutch Power can be grown indoors and outdoors. The plant can become quite large outdoors. Dutch Power is ideal for novice growers. It is very fast to flower and produces a reliable, large yield. The tops are robust, large and compact, and are full of crystals. The flowering time is approximately 8 to 9 weeks. The plant blooms early indoors. Do not worry if the plant begins to bloom a little later, because from my own experience I know it matures quickly.
There is of course a good reason Dutch Power is so popular. With its promising name this plant does of course have a lot to live up to. It has a soft and deliciously bitter-sweet flavour. Lemony, but also spicy. It has an intense effect and gets you very high & if tired, smoking Dutch Power makes you very active and cheerful because it gives you a lot of energy. Therefore don’t smoke it before going to sleep, as it’ll likely keep you awake. It also makes you talk quite a bit, so pleasant conversations are guaranteed. In the medical field, Dutch Power helps treat stress, pain and anxiety.
