This success has encouraged the Big Buddha to further experimentation with the result that they now offer a wide selection of Cheese-based hybrids. The Big Buddha retains specific parts loved from the original cheese, namely its sublime, distinctive taste.
Two years of selective backcrossing has allowed us to isolate specific traits we loved from the cheese. The Big Buddha Cheese Feminised seed retains its mother's old skool taste and, with the help of Afghani, has a higher overall yield than the original cheese mother.
The selected male was then crossed with our proud mother, and the backbone of many of our breeding projects - the original UK Big Buddha Cheese. From these crosses, a male with extremely fruity characteristics was chosen as the father of our Blue Cheese!

The male used was an NYC Diesel from the legendry Soma! The male added enough hybrid vigour and a distinctive hint of that grapefruit diesel taste to the ever popular cup winning Big Buddha Cheese. The taste concoction of old skool mixed with the new fuel hints, is a highly unique and a very memorable one. The ‘C H I E S E L’ grows similar to its mother, a slender looking fast flowering Sativa with indica impressions.
Having acquired what is undoubtedly the #1 haze cutting in Holland, the world-famous Amnesia Haze (also known as Super Silver & G-13 haze), we knew we had something special. Rather than just feminising back to itself, we crossed it to a reversed Manga Rosa. The Manga Rosa was collected by our friends in Spain - it's believed to be a real 'Spiritual Sativa' strain, originating from north-east Brazil.
The Tahoe OG Kush cutting was acquired from our good friends at the famous 'Cali Connection' Crew from California via one of our European associates.
The Tahoe OG Kush was chosen because of its extremely potent, strong, sharp taste synonymous with the many Kush varieties available in the USA today. Our 'Buddha Tahoe' feminised seed is a great representation of the 'new wave' of kush strains.

Chemdawg originated from the USA from some seeds which were found in some marijuana scored from a 'Grateful Dead' concert back in 1991. Since then 'Chemdawg' has been a top quality proven strain with a unique 'chemmy' taste and pleasurable knockout high. 'Chemdawg' has been succesfully used as a backbone for breeding most of the top American strains you see today. They started by selecting a prized 'God Bud' male from seeds derived from the BC Bud Depot (Canada) and crossed it with the Big Buddha Cheese clone and came out with the first hybrids, ...The son of God....'Cheesus'

The 'Friesland indica' is a classic strain of yesteryear, originally from the Super Sativa Seed club, Holland.
Big Buddha Seeds had sourced the seed from the vaults of one of Amsterdam's best coffeshops. After testing, the 'Friesland indica' turned out to be a real classic Old Skool indica strain. The 'Friesland' grows strong with dark green, elegant indica leaves and with classic buds laden with a diamond glisten. The 'Friesland' was then crossed to our classic strain the 'Big Buddha Cheese' resulting to the FreezeCheese '89. A real frostmaster, easy to grow strong, a good mould resistant plant a real step back in time for lovers of good pot of yesteryear!
